It was this first week of April in 1945 that the orders came down from General LeMay that B-29 units would no longer allow nose art on the fleet because the B-29, being a superior bomber, was above having nude women painted on their fuselages. All units began to unify specific bomb group art for each plane. Seen here is the 500th Bomb Group on Saipan circa late 1945, and is a detail of my print "You Can't Keep A Hot Rodder Down".

Here is a pin up girl I recently created for the Aurora Sportsmen's Club in Illinois for their Practical Rifle classes. It appears on post cards that they hand out at gun shows. The patch denotes the 45th Infantry Division, which was the unit that my Great Uncle was part of during the Italian campaign in WWII.
